Southern Polytechnic State University has a unique purpose. By fusing technology with the liberal arts and sciences, SPSU encourages diverse perspectives and strong preparation for leaders in an increasingly technological world.  

SPSU offers bachelor's and master's degrees and continuing professional development in science, engineering, technology, architecture and related fields. The construction engineering program is one of only nine in the nation. The mechantronics engineering degree is the first in Georgia, and SPSU offers a nationally accredited bachelor of architecture degree.

The wooded campus of 200 acres in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta, includes student housing. The student body is 16 percent international. The American Society for Engineering Education ranks SPSU No.1 in the nation for the number of African American students earning bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in engineering technology.
